In the lead up to the start of another busy Biosecurity Surveillance Season, SPS Biota held a two-day workshop for staff who will be involved in various pheromone insect trapping programmes over the summer.
Operational and administrative elements of the programmes were covered including trap and host selection, sampling, and data recording.
Those who were fortunate enough to be from a Covid-19 Alert Level 2 region were able to travel to Christchurch and meet in person, however a large group of the team could not travel due to the restrictions and joined the workshop remotely via a Teams video link.
Day two of the workshop saw the Christchurch group head into the field, where Area Co-ordinators discussed methods and changes related to the various programmes.
